"In this documentary, mentors are paired with homeless people. I take the role of mentor to the mentors. The film maker is Nijole Kuzmikas "From Grief to Action." Nijole is able to move in close to the subjects, with great sensitivity and always with their permission. The documentary shows people already burdened by addiction and/or mental illness having to navigate through the chaos of life on the street and a system that barriers them. A powerful up close look at people whose most basic needs are not met."
