Resources: Our Lenten Vigil
For those who are with us in spirit (but not in person) we plan on making some of our resources available for you to consider using in your own context.
A couple of weeks ago we posted on Our Lenten Vigil. Along with the gallows prop, each week we handed out a different leaflet.
Each week the leaflet focused on a different aspect of the ways that laws or institutional structures keep people poor and homeless. The main purpose was to bear witness to the structural injustice that is normalized in our social patterns and the ways these negatively impact the lives of our neighbors, and to confess our own complicity in those structures through our silence and support.
Note that we've now uploaded these handouts, and we would be thrilled to hear of different groups who have edited them for their own circumstances and used them. The 5 leaflets (pdf files) can be found on the sidebar under the heading Homelessness Action (Lenten Vigil).
