Action: MPH Campaign Organizing Workshop

Make Poverty History invites you to attend a

Vote to Make Poverty History campaign organizing workshop

on Saturday, March 24 from 1:00 to 5:00pm

at the Canadian Memorial Centre for Peace in Vancouver

(1825 W 16th Ave., between Burrard and Cypress)

Be part of a Make Poverty History group in your riding that could:

  • help to make poverty an election issue
  • get as many candidates as possible to endorse Make Poverty History goals
  • motivate voters to vote to make poverty history
  • help to create favorable conditions for realizing Make Poverty History goals after the election

We have developed creative tools and action strategies for how we can have a positive impact in the next election. This workshop will share these tools and action strategies, and provide an opportunity for local Make Poverty History supporters from Richmond, North Vancouver, Vancouver Kingsway and West Van-Sunshine Coast ridings to make plans for how they can put these tools and strategies into action during the next federal election. (These are strategic swing ridings where Make Poverty History supporters number 20% or more of the margin of victory in the last election.)

Make Poverty History coordinator Dennis Howlett will be facilitating this workshop.

Please note that the Vote to Make Poverty History campaign is strictly non-partisan. While we will be doing all we can to make poverty an issue in the election and pressing candidates and parties to clarify what they would do to make poverty history, we will not be endorsing any candidates or political parties. While members of all political parties are welcome to be a part of our Vote to Make Poverty History campaign, we ask that they respect our need to be non-partisan.

Please leave a comment if you would like an email copy of the registration form.
