Film: Five Ring Circus
With sneak previews resulting in rave reviews from CTV, Global, City TV and many others, the documentary "Five Ring Circus" from Vancouver filmmaker Conrad Schmidt exposes a side to the Vancouver Olympics which has not been revealed before. The film premieres March 2nd to March 8th at the Rio Theatre.
With three years to go before the games, this controversial documentary examines how the commitments to environmental, social and economic sustainability have not been kept and how the preparations for the games are affecting diverse communities. This independent documentary irrefutably demonstrates how a three week event is changing Vancouver forever, and not necessarily for the better.
Premiere:
Rio Theater (corner of Commercial and Broadway)
9:30 pm Friday March 2nd to March 8th
4:30pm Sunday March 4th
Director Conrad Schmidt, Pivot Legal Society Lawyer David Eby and Betty Krawzcyk will be in attendance to answer questions following the March 2nd screening.
